2008 Stable News
In February of 2008, Trainer Diane Gueck was one of 13 people to be inducted into the Tennessee Walking
Horse National Celebration's Hall of Fame. She is the first person from the Northwest to be inducted and
was presented with her award at a 500 strong banquet in Calsonic Arena in Tennessee. Her son and daughter,
Steve and Sharon, as well as her brother Jim and his wife Liz, joined her at the ceremony.
The Lifetime Instructors Achievement Award was also presented to her at the Tennessee Walking Horse
Breeders' Association Annual Banquet.
In April of 2008, A BEAM COME TRUE and Diane journeyed to San Francisco, California where they represented
the Tennessee Walking Horse at the Grand National Rodeo by performing her DANCING FOR LIFE routine. She
was also asked to represent Wrangler Rodeo on their "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" night where she performed
under spotlights to a huge crowd. A special thanks goes to Mary Harris of the Silver Light Riders and to
Katie Born, who took such good care of Trudy during her trip.
Cheveaux has started out the show season with a bang. Even though we are showing fewer horses, they are
all coming through for us big time. So far this year, we have won 40 blue ribbons with such horses as
A BEAM COME TRUE (Plantation), GEN'S AMERICAN IDOL (Liteshod), NITE'S DESIGN (3 GT Liteshod), TOUCHED
BY NITE (3YO Plantation), EBONY'S GOLDUST CHOCOLATE (Country Pleasure), and ROYAL SUNDROP (4YO Liteshod).
Our Assistant Trainer, Heather Fitzgerald, just got back from the NW Pleasure show with LEGALLY JAYWALKING
and EBONY'S MERRY BOY MELODY. She had a very successful show.

Celebration 2007
Our own three-year-old filly GEN'S AMERICAN IDOL captured the championship in the TWHBEA 3-year-old Traditional
(Liteshod) Plantation Futurity with Sharon Gueck DeFord in the irons. This was a very special win for us as she
is the granddaughter of our undefeated World Grand Champion plantation mare Wonder Lady's Delight. She is sired
by 2006 Futurity premium sire Gen's Silver Sandman owned by Jana Anderson, now of Shelbyville, Tennessee.
A BEAM COME TRUE continued in her winning ways to tie in the top 10 in each of her classes. She garnered a 6th
place in the Liteshod World Grand Championship, competing with horses that were all world champions. She was
ridden by her owner Diane Gueck. Katie Born had a great Celebration, receiving a good 5th place tie in
Juvenile Liteshod with Trudy and a 6th place tie in Novice Youth with Gen's American Idol.

Our other horses competing did us proud as well, with Lord Blackwatch winning both the Open Western 3-Gait and
Championship. A Beam Come True won the Liteshod 3-Gait English Championship. Gen's American Idol was the
3-Year-Old qualifier and championship winner. Nite Night won the Model Mare and the Championship. Ebony's
Goldust Chocolate and her owner Angela Hodge ended up the show winning the Country Pleasure English 2-Gait Reserve
Championship. We had a total of 12 blues at this prestigious show. Our own Gen's American Idol won the Graduate
Award for the most points over a period of 4 years in the Futurity. We were also very proud of Blue Moon's lovely
stallion NITE'S DESIGN, who ended up as Premier Stallion as his get did outstandingly well in the Futurity.
Antoinette Mauro made some good performances on her lovely little gelding Grand Threat. A special thank you goes
to Katie Born for all of her work on the babies and garnered herself a first place award with Dr. House as well
as placing well in her other classes. Katie is leaving for California and we wish her the best in her new life.
We will all certainly miss her at Cheveaux. She has been very special to us.
