Cheveaux Training Stables was established in the early 1970's, by the late world reknown trainer Diane Gueck. Diane's lifelong passion was training horses and riders, and together with her family, she operated the business for many years enjoying great success. The stables is currently operating under the direction of Diane's daughter, Sharon Gueck DeFord. Sharon has over 30 years of experience in training, showing, and instructing and she rode many of Cheveaux's horses to their World Championship and International titles. She also specializes in halter and model training, as well as show ring presentation and equitation instruction. Cheveaux Training Stables is located in Oregon’s picturesque Willamette Valley and has been the home of many talented and successful flatshod Tennessee Walking Horses. The stables has an impressive record of achievements, including 36 World Championships, 3 World Grand Championships, 3 Reserve World Grand Championships, 2 Celebration Super Horse titles. Stable Champions include Wonder Ladys Delight, 3 time World Grand Champion Plantation horse, Magic’s Pride & Joy, 22 time Liteshod World Champion and two time Celebration Super Horse winner, Gold Fever, 1988 Plantation World Champion, Dance the Night Away, 1987 Plantation World Champion, An Irish Sensation, 1995 Liteshod World Champion, Gen’s Miracle Lady, 1996 Reserve World Champion Youth Plantation, A Beam Come True, 1999 Liteshod English Reserve World Grand Champion, Generator’s Rock & Roll, 1999 Liteshod Driving World Champion and Novice Youth World Champion and finally Miss Magic Money, 2003 Liteshod Open Reserve World Champion. Cheveaux Stables has also trained seven TWHBEA Supreme Versatility Champions and coached many of top amateur and youth riders in the Pacific Northwest.
